Veci ktoré pribudnú v nasledujúcom Deme

Nedošlo k žiadnej novinky na domovskej stránke po dobu niekoľkých mesiacov. Poďme napraviť! Zatiaľ čo ďalší veľký deň Demo verzia zatiaľ nie je v pláne, sme už kódované niektoré príjemné vlastnosti, ktoré budú zahrnuté. Tento zoznam nie je fantázia, ale rastie, ako sme na tom pracovať.

  • Podpora Unicode. Sme konečne pridať správnu podporu pre čínske znaky (devblog článok). To tiež znamená, že môžete správne vidieť znaky z iných jazykov v chate bez ohľadu na zvolené locale.
  • Prenos súborov v multiplayeri. Takže nebudete musieť sťahovať savy alebo nové mapy pomocou tretej strany stránkach. Prevody bude vykonané v hre, keď klient klikne stiahnutie.
  • Výber Prepracované jednotky (devblog 1, devblog 2). Voľba jednotiek bude jednoduchšie a intuitívnejšie.
  • Ešte dynamické skripty. Pomocou nového príkazy skriptu ešte viac úprav bude možné v misiách.
  • Opravy chýb a drobné vylepšenia. Ako vždy sme sa ktorým hlásené chyby a pridávať drobné vylepšenia.

Predchádzajúca verzia bola prijatá dobre. Videli sme veľa nových dynamických skriptov je napísané komunity, vrátane niektorých z ľudí, ktorí sa učia písať kód prvýkrát. Budeme sa uistite sa, že sú tieto nové mapy v budúcej verzii. Tiež sme dostali spätnú väzbu, že bilancia sa pohybovali jednotky nie je úplne v poriadku, lukostrelci sú teraz výrazne úspornejšie než kuší. Budeme aj naďalej, aby sa malé bilancia vylepšenia s cieľom riešiť nerovnováhy, ako je tento.

Dúfame, že budúci vydanie pripravené v prvom štvrťroku 2014, ale samozrejme to záleží na tom, koľko času máme k dispozícii a aké funkcie sme sa rozhodli realizovať. Ako obvykle pred vydaním plánujeme spustenie beta-testovacej fázy pre niektoré 3-5 týždne, ale termíny, ktoré nie sú naplánované ešte jeden.   3. That’s not possible with dynamic scripts yet but it will probably be possible in the future. We might also add a cheat to make ore never run out.

    How to order one group attack another group?
    And how to make event once when condition are met? Like OnTick, but only once. (e.g. when player’s group reach one position, give AI another group)

    and can you add to debug bar export .dat file when map is running with builded buildings by AI?

    • If you pardon me for replying instead of Lewin 😉

      It is actually possible to make almost anything, however most of such things are impractical. For example random map generator in KaM.
      A. It requires a great deal of effort to make it to generate good enough maps
      B. KaM maps require high level of artisticity which is next to impossible to implement in code
      C. Maps also need to be balanced, which can’t be achieved without extensive playtesting
      D. There are plenty of great maps already made by mapmakers

      These are just some points that make the map generator “impossible”.

      Exporting game to DAT sounds like an interesting idea, however what is it going to be used for?

    Can you tell us whether the next release will include a rebalancing of the initial attack in TSK mission 20 so it’s possible to survive the attack?

    do you mean we will be able to hold LMB and selest many groups??
    or do you mean we will have more option for unit creations like man with a lether armor and sword without shield or light rider without armor with bow etc
    btw that wuld be awesome to have posibility to create any type of units based on what weapons or armors we have for example many times i had many lances but i run out of armors so weapons were useless but if you add possibility to create units lacking armors with just weapons it will make game more interresting

  14. is there any cheats available for the game as of now? the game is great by the the shear complexity of the resource management and manipulations is awesome… but i would like to see some cheats for the game like resource cheat… hunger cheat… even though those would ruin the uniqueness of the game… but it would be nice to have those

Because occurs periodically in hunger of the blue , you must add the new buildings of food resources , namely : brewery ( it can work on baker / miller will brewer ) , chicken farm (to give eggs and chickens , which livestock can smoke on the spot ) the dairy (milk and beef for meat shop ) , which can work livestock . Vegetable farm ( can give tomatoes and / or cucumbers) , orchard (apples and / or pears ) that can run the farmer. As can be seen , the new units are not required. Thus citizens will be provided with a complete diet and reduce the likelihood of sudden hunger !

    • Listen now you ! its a classic remake and they will not add that things there are not like in normal Kam, there are more important things to do! i disagree stanislavs ideas

    • also it’s a hard work for Lewin and Krom to programe Kam Remake and try to do it stanislav by your self and you will see how it’s hard than posting useless ideas that will be not added, Thats all i have to say.

    • I think 4 kinds of food is enough already. I don’t think your ideas would improve the game. Also, we would need someone to make images for those buildings/food types.

  18. Hey I’ve created a map, set the goals for it and so forth and all of a sudden I cannot seem to play the map that I have created and have no idea why. It keeps coming up with very strange errors. Is their a way to fix the problem?

    Not sure if i’am the only one but at mission 8 i can’t seem to survive the first attack, there are a shitload of babarian attacking the first 15-20 min there is a lack of time to build up an army, and building some def towers doesn’t seem to work aswell since we are talking about 120 barbarians here. Did see some *cheating* with placing 10 schools( without building them) to narrow down the path tho but that doesn’t feel right! Is this fixeble? Or is this intended to be this hard? Did use the warehouse cheat to get past that level and didn’t use it for the rest of the missions and reached mission 18 now!

    My next issue is computer AI in campain, they don’t build good! whenever i enter a camp/base that hasn’t been completely build beforehand so that the AI doesn’t have to expand, they just tend to have some random roads Stonehowers and woodcuters , that’s rougly it. It makes some of the maps allot easyer then intended i think, not sure if it was good on the original version however.Would be great fun if this can be fixed again!

    Beside the above points you have done a great job so far however!
    This game has already managed to entertain me for such many, hours so keep up the good work!

  23. Lewin or Krom are you planning to make a option to editor to switch editor mode to dynamics scrypting in future?, yes i know that i can write it by myself but it will be easier and faster if you make it.

    • Dynamic scripts are designed to be hand written, they would not work in a graphical WYSIWYG editor since there is an unlimited number of things you can do with dynamic scripts. We might embed a text editor into the map editor that lets you edit the dynamic script from there, but it would probably be a lot more effort than it’s worth since Notepad++ works well and has lots of nice features.

    • Our website uses Google Translator by default, and our volunteer translators can correct it. The game itself is completely translated by volunteers.

    Is kam 100% Compatible with windows 8.1?
    Or windows 7?
    This because microsoft messaged, that they would stop the technical support udates for windows xp (my old system). Date at end support: 8 April 2014.
    So i am forced to get a another platform and pc (old pc/12 years):
    windows 7 or winows 8. is kam compatible.?

  34. Lewin if i can suggest can you add dymanic script that replaces title at specifed cords 1= x 2=z 3=title id also can you add something like dynamic script to make activate choosen dynamic script order ex every 300 ticks u get 10 gold

    • Vas has been working on it, last time I checked he had made an additional 5 missions. Hopefully it will be ready for the next release 🙂

    • We haven’t made a new nightly build for a while since we’re still working on some features. I’m planning to make a new nightly once a few more features are finished off. Then after that we can update all the maps and start beta testing.

    May i ask if there is a solution for Chinese players join the game in European severs? Now it seems like they had 2 different game in one KaM..:(

  38. They got huge ping, and lag to much to play…( so they got kicked or leave the game. And same as players in CN sever.

    • Unfortunately that’s just the way the telecommunications networks are. Sending signals to the other side of the world introduces significant delays and unreliability, and it’s hard to play a real-time game over a connection like that. China’s international network connections seem to be especially bad. I live in Australia and I can play ok on European servers (high ping but stable), and Australia is a similar distance from Europe as China is. Also when I connect to the CN server I have an unstable ping, even though Australia is closer to China than Europe.

      Perhaps the network links will improve in the future. Until then there isn’t much we can do about it 🙁

        but manyone seems only judge by The Big Number of ping,
        Cuz they have no way to know a player is stable.
        Actually , Ka played with us very stable (even 250-300ping),he is also in Euro.
        If there is a New marking to show a player’sstability? Then we can choose a good partern. (like ping + offset,high means high distance,high offset means Not stable )

    Just need peer-to-peer system. Example:
    First and Second’s ping is 50.
    Server and First’s ping is 150.
    Server and Second’s ping is 60.
    So, First need to comunicate with Second player, Second retranslate First and hisself.

    In my mind, we needn’t Server for a game. We need Server to find lobby.

    • How do you propose we establish these peer to peer connections through NAT routers that 90% of people use in their homes?

      A peer to peer system like that would be a huge amount of work for a very small ping improvement anyway. And if one guy is making the game lag because his connection is busy (say someone in his house is watching Youtube) then it’s very hard to tell which person is to blame.

      It also raises all sorts of security/trust issues, since a peer could be modifying packets before forwarding them. At least now if you play on a well known public server then the server can be trusted to block cheats like trying to move soldiers of another player.

  43. Oh yeah, one question for all of you guys, is it possible to let an AI attack AFTER they trained enough soldiers? Cuz I make maps where they first need to build a city and then make soldiers, they start with no soldiers. I gave thim in attack a repeat attack, 18 soldiers minimum before attack and take all, i also did that in once but they never attacked, could somebody help me with that?

  44. I have an suggestion to game in future. Add heroes to game. They will having more damage and resistence than other units.
